We’re so excited to share that following the success of our first collaboration with Gilbanks, we’re now working together on a second project, this time in Birmingham.
Set in the heart of Birmingham’s prestigious Colmore Row district, Five St Philips overlooks the picturesque Cathedral Square. This beautifully restored building has been thoughtfully renovated to create sustainable, wellbeing-focused workspaces designed to inspire productivity, creativity, and connection.

Featuring Artwork by Jeannine Close
For this project, we’re thrilled to be showcasing artwork by Jeannine Close, a mixed-media artist based by the English coast in Folkestone.
With a background spanning fashion, fine art, and interior design, Jeannine’s creative journey has given her work a distinct balance of structure and spontaneity. Her layered mixed-media abstracts explore the interplay between calm and chaos, using colour, texture, and mark-making to evoke emotion and reflection.

“Painting has always been a big part of my life in some shape or form. It’s inspired my design work and equally my design work has inspired my paintings. Layer by layer, I build up a history of colour and texture, responding to what emerges along the way.”— Jeannine Close
Jeannine’s pieces bring incredible depth and movement to the Gilbanks Birmingham space, calm yet full of energy. Her intuitive, design-informed approach fits beautifully within the Gilbanks environment, creating a workspace that feels both dynamic and grounded.

A Shared Vision
At Buchanan Art, we’ve always believed that quality, well-considered artwork has a real impact on how a space feels and functions. Collaborating again with Gilbanks who share our passion for meaningful, design-driven environments has been a real joy.
We can’t wait to share more from inside the finished project soon!
