Buchanan Art is thrilled to unveil our latest project—a collaboration with the newly refurbished Voco Clifton Hotel in our hometown of Folkestone. Overlooking the stunning English Channel, this grand Victorian hotel, dating back to 1864, is a true local landmark rich in history and nostalgia. It has been an incredible privilege to contribute to the transformation of this iconic space, blending artistic expression with timeless elegance.

At the heart of Voco’s vision was a deep commitment to showcasing local talent, supporting the vibrant art community of Folkestone. We were honored to work alongside an inspiring group of artists, including Stephen Thompson, Arbi, Zel Hunt, and Marc Christmas, to bring this vision to life. Through a carefully curated selection of over 200 unique prints and a series of commissioned original pieces, we’ve helped to craft an artistic atmosphere that enhances the hotel’s charm and character.
Working closely with the interior designers, we ensured that each piece of artwork harmonized seamlessly with the hotel’s sophisticated furnishings, setting the perfect tone for every individual room. From tranquil seascapes to bold contemporary compositions, the artwork plays a vital role in shaping the ambiance, offering guests an immersive and visually captivating experience.

We couldn’t be prouder of this collaboration and the opportunity to celebrate Folkestone’s thriving artistic community. Next time you visit the Voco Clifton Hotel, take a moment to explore the artwork adorning its walls—each piece tells a story, weaving together history, creativity, and local talent in a truly special way.
A huge thank you to Voco Clifton Hotel for championing local artists and for allowing us to be part of this remarkable journey!
