Zel Hunt
MEET
Zel is an abstract artist who is inspired by traces of existence which are buried or part revealed in the local landscape. She was born and raised in South London within walking distance of the Thames & Tate Britain which sparked a life-long passion in Art & Photography.
Zel studied Textiles at Central School of Art and later gained an MA in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths College, London. Zel had enjoyed a rewarding career as an Art Therapist for 30 years and now works as a full-time artist in Dover, Kent.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
Zel’s recent work reveals her love of colour relationships coupled with surface texture. Underlying this remains her interest of real and imagined forms in the coastal landscape and of lives once lived. Zel’s paintings are like pages of a book which entice the viewer to engage and fathom a narrative from their own unique & inquiring perspective…..creating an imaginative symbiotic experience.
